The Knights of Alba-Chicago gathered at the home of Maestro Georgia Marsh for a warm and festive celebration of Notte del Solstizio d'Estate — Night of the Summer Solstice — on June 21, 2026.
The evening honored the Italian tradition of welcoming summer with food, wine, friendship, and the long twilight of the season. Guests were greeted with a special cocktail created for the occasion: A Royal Summer Knight, a sparkling summer aperitivo made with Vermouth di Torino Bianco, Alta Langa Extra Brut, fresh summer mint, and a generous amount of ice.
Chiara Boschis · E. Pira & Figli
The Chapter was especially honored to welcome Chiara Boschis of E. Pira & Figli, whose wines were featured throughout the evening. Chiara — one of the great female producers of Barolo and the first female winemaker in the Langhe — joined the gathering as guests enjoyed a progression of her wines from Dolcetto to two great Barolos.
The wines were paired with an abundant Italian menu, including cheeses selected for the wines, personalized small pizzas, burrata and prosciutto, caprese, salumi, grilled spiedini with herbs and marinades, porchetta, rosemary roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, fruit, bread, gelato, and assorted desserts.
It was an evening of Italian elegance, generous hospitality, and summer celebration — a fitting tribute to the wines of Chiara Boschis, the spirit of the Chapter, and the friendship shared around the table.
